Drying Sheets (sold separately)

Drying sheets are used when dehydrating small nuts, seeds, powders or liquids, etc. any food that would fall through the holes in the mesh trays. The square holes on the Sedona Express stainless steel mesh drying trays are 10mm.
Teflon and Silicone drying sheets are our best-selling drying sheets. Teflon sheets are non-stick whereas with silicone sheets you would need to use some spray oil. Some health-conscious customers prefer not to use Teflon.

Raw Blend

So far very happy with unit. Yes it is more expensive than many but like always you get what you pay for. This is a quality unit and great service from Raw Blend. The warranty registration was a bit confusing. Followed the supplied instruction to do it online which then told me for north america only and to follow instruction supplied. I then fill in the supplied warranty card which was pre addressed to Raw Blend. I emailed them anyway and got a quick response advising it was auto registered with my purchase and not to worry about tge card. Maybe fix up the supplied instructions to avoid the confusion. If you’re doing this to save money, you will to some extent but you must factor in running costs. Depends on what.. apple slices only 5 hrs , citrus up around 18 hours. If you have solar and battery that will make a difference. But other major advantage is that you control what any additives and preservatives. But very satisfied with product and prompt service from Raw Blend.

I’ve been taking advantage of the excess fruit in our garden and turning them into stored dehydrated food, which would otherwise be left rotting on the ground. I’m having fun with all the recipes and surprised at how easy it is. Very happy with my purchase!

Compact kitchen-friendly design. It sits easily on the bench and is barely audible when in use. And even on the hottest of days, any increase in the ambient room temperature from the dehydrator in use is barely noticeable (unlike a conventional oven in use).

As a raw-foodist, the Two-Stage Sequential Temperature-Timer (TST) Feature won me over to make this brand the dehydrator of choice. The TST feature allows you to kick-start the dehydration process by starting at a higher temperature (FAST mode) for the first few hours, then automatically switching to a lower temperature (RAW mode) to finish off the job. This process works perfectly on foods with higher moisture content --> Like my big thick raw banana pancakes, fruit roll-ups, savoury wraps, home-made crackers which might otherwise take hours and hours longer. Also great with dehydrating mushrooms to a dryness that allows them to be powdered and added to smoothies, coffee, and tea.

The Sedona Express has 11 removable trays. I love the stainless steel trays, easy to clean (can go in the dishwasher). Purchasing additional silicon mats for using with very wet ingredients (when making wraps, pancakes etc) is very helpful. Having adjustable trays allows for dehydrating of larger items like raw bread. Proofing of doughs. Warming raw lasagne etc. For a compact tiny product, it performs in a BIG way. When dehydrating with all trays in use I would recommend occasionally rotating the shelves as I have found the food directly in front of the central fan drys more quickly on these occasions.

Digital controls and displays are easy to use. Fahrenheit and Celcius options mean if you're having trouble converting your recipe over to Metric measure - you have the option of following a recipe in the Imperial measurement. For me, this has been wonderful and makes the whole dehydrating process versatile and flexible, regardless of where I am following my recipes from.

I would highly recommend investing in this brand and style of a dehydrator. I purchased this product after having previously used an inexpensive vertical stacking plastic model and there are no comparisons to be made.

I made my purchase online through Raw Blend Australia who provided me with prompt and helpful service. My dehydrator has been in regular use now for over 2 years, often running for up to 48hrs at a time. It has never had a fault. I have cleaned the air/fan filter on occasion and have a spare one on hand should I ever need one, but remarkably the filter has remained very very clean. I am also still using the original silicone mats I purchased at the same time as the dehydrator, They remain in excellent condition and show no signs of degrading.

My son and I are loving this machine! It's the perfect size and my son has nick named it Robo! (Robot) Hahaha I have him eating fruit roll ups and activated nuts and it's certainly bringing a smile to my face that I can make him healthy snacks so easily. Perfect for me

I love it! I've been using it non stop for a couple of months now and haven't stopped! I love using it for roll ups as treats for my little cousins and activated nuts for a healthy snack for my commute to work.
